J2 自身并没有工作许可，也就是说单有J2 Visa 不能在美国做任何工作，否则一律视为非法工作。但是J2签证允许“EAD工作申请” ：

Dependents of J-1 visa holders on J-2 visa can apply for work permit (Employment Authorization Document or EAD) if they would like to work in the U.S. J-2 visa.
